How to know your ring size

Content: Are you thinking of buying or giving a ring as a gift and need to know the right size? If so... Here's how!

Ring sizes are possibly one of the most complex concepts when it comes to buying this type of jewellery as your fingers vary in size during the day depending on various factors, such as temperature and humidity.

It is really important to know your ring size, especially if you are a ring shopper, but it can also be useful when someone is giving you a gift.

Do you want to find out how to know your ring size? Then don't miss any detail of this post.

Things to consider before knowing your ring size

There are some important points to consider when sizing your ring.

Weather, humidity, temperature, etc. can cause the size of your finger to vary.

The ring should fit you just right, if it is too loose we can lose it and if it is too tight it will be uncomfortable and we will not be comfortable wearing it.

Remember that in Pedro Rodriguez Jewellers we are expert jewellers and we will advise you to know which is the perfect size.

Finally, it is important that you take into account that not all countries use the same ring size. Although there is a table of equivalences so you can know what your size is in any country.

How to know my ring size

We've put together this guide to help you learn the secret to knowing your ring size.

Find a table of equivalences

Here we are going to show you a table of standard measures that is the most used for ring sizes in Spain.

In the following image you can see the different ring sizes, to see them in real size it is as easy as downloading and printing our guide by clicking here, then take a ring that suits you and place it on the different circles to find your size. Keep in mind that the circle must coincide with the circumference of the inner part of your ring.

Measure your finger

Although it may seem typical, if you want to know what size ring you wear, you need to look at the measurement in mm of your finger. However, as we've mentioned before, fingers don't always measure the same. Therefore, we recommend that you measure your finger two or three times at different times of the day so that you don't make any mistakes.

Measure one ring

This can be a great and easiest way to find out someone else's ring size if you are looking for a gift. Take one of their rings and measure the diameter. In this case you should look for a size equivalence table where the diameter of a ring is used as a reference measurement and not the measurement of a finger in centimetres.
